Help me pick!

Since I am seriously considering having a craft table at Drag Con, I was looking at making some market totes/bags. These three are the ones I like the best, so help me choose! Mind you, the Easy Breezy tote and the Mermaid Tail tote are made with the same yarn cake (Lion Brand's Mandala Sparkle in Lyra), and the Granny Square was made with Red Heart Super Saver's Favorite Stripes yarn. Please don't vote necessarily on the color of the bag. That will change based on whether or not variegated yarn is used, and what color it starts with.

I started with basic rainbow colors, as it was what I have on hand. I am looking at including other orientations so more people are represented. Some of them will be easy, but one or two might be a challenge.

That said...vote on which bag you like best!  Stay tuned for other ideas I have to be featured!  In the mean time, if you want a bag, and can't wait until May 2020, just let me know!

Craft Booth at Drag Con?

A few weeks ago, I attended RuPaul's Drag Con in Los Angeles.  I had an amazing time running my Tupperware booth with a fellow consultant, and can't wait to go back next year.  I didn't get to personally meet as many queens as I would have liked, but I still got to meet more than last year as an attendee!  We were lucky enough to be placed next to the National Showgirl Pageant/National Showman Pageant booth, and they knew quite a few of the queens who had made their way onto the show.  Some of them even stopped by their booth to say hi.  During the run of the convention, I randomly had Monique Heart walk up and give me a hug in my booth; Asia O'Hara and Scarlet Envy walked around the convention floor and were gracious enough to take a photo.  We also took photos with other attendees dressed in drag and other fabulous outfits.  Best of all, I made two new friends from the National Showgirl Pageant booth.  They kept us entertained--by talking with u...

Hats!

Back to my ideas for a minute... In addition to the market bags for DragCon, I'm also thinking of some beanies/hats, too.  I planned to do the traditional rainbow flag as well as Trans Pride.  Being a straight, white woman with exposure to the LGBTQ community mostly through spending five years as a The Rocky Horror Picture Show  shadowcast performer, I do know of other gender and sexual identities, but I recently found out how many there are! Again, only using what I have on hand right now, I made my first Trans Pride beanie.  I plan to add other styles, as mentioned, as soon as I find out the names of the colors in the other Pride Flags. So, what do you think? Magic Pouch Clutch

This blog is supposed to be my little craft corner of the internet, right?  Well, did you know that I sew a little, too?  It's true! Before Craftsy fully converted to it's current website, I spent many hours browsing the free patterns.  I searched crochet and sewing patterns, because I'm always down for free. ;)  I came across the Magic Pouch Clutch, and I love this thing!  I've made about eight of them so far: two gifts, one for myself (the first one I made), and five more as commissions. The original pattern is made up of two zippered pouches on opposite sides of each other.  I'm going to do a little experimenting and add an inside zipper pocket, card slots, and who knows what else!
