Hats!

Back to my ideas for a minute... In addition to the market bags for DragCon, I'm also thinking of some beanies/hats, too.  I planned to do the traditional rainbow flag as well as Trans Pride.  Being a straight, white woman with exposure to the LGBTQ community mostly through spending five years as a The Rocky Horror Picture Show  shadowcast performer, I do know of other gender and sexual identities, but I recently found out how many there are! Again, only using what I have on hand right now, I made my first Trans Pride beanie.  I plan to add other styles, as mentioned, as soon as I find out the names of the colors in the other Pride Flags. So, what do you think? Are there any other handmade items you'd like to see done up in the any of the Pride Flag colors?  I can crochet many different things.  I was planning on beanies and market/tote bags for sure.  I stumbled across an easy color block-style place-mat that would lend itself very well to th...

Magic Pouch Clutch

This blog is supposed to be my little craft corner of the internet, right?  Well, did you know that I sew a little, too?  It's true! Before Craftsy fully converted to it's current website, I spent many hours browsing the free patterns.  I searched crochet and sewing patterns, because I'm always down for free. ;)  I came across the Magic Pouch Clutch, and I love this thing!  I've made about eight of them so far: two gifts, one for myself (the first one I made), and five more as commissions. If you're interested in the same pattern, it is a free download designed by Teresa Lucio Designs.  Here is the  pattern link . Here is a before: And, this is what it looks like all sewn together! With the exception of the explicit mate...

MIA?

Hello readers!  I know there aren't many of you...but I apologize for just disappearing!  I had to invest more time into finding a job, which I finally started a position with Amazon.  In the meantime, I have been attempting some "stash buster" projects.  I've crocheted a few more bags, and I even worked up some drink cup cozies.  I'm excited to have more products to have not only for my DragCon booth next year, but also so I have the patterns mastered, and can sell items on my own.  I will try posting some updates with photos soon.  Most of my photos are on my phone, and only a few on my laptop. My posts so far have focused on crochet, but I do have other crafts under my belt.  I do sew, and love doing arts and crafts with my son.  We recently created sensory bottles and pressed flower bookmarks.  I'll also devote some time to posting photo updates with those soon, too! I may or may not have said this before, if you see something yo...
